Solstice tells the story of a Coven performing a protection ritual for the winter solstice. This was researched thoroughly by Nik while in Paris 2019. Reading old literature, comparing it with newer pagan concepts, & developing a energetically safe & protective atmosphere. Thank you to all of the dancers that trusted this process & made this vision come true. This would not have been possible without the dedication y'all showed.

This film explores the idea of protecting and caring for yourself in an instinctual and tangible way. Similarly to how an animal protects its young or how the Earth protects itself. Out of the truest sense of love, and connectedness, and self.

This project was used to explore nostalgia and the emotions that come with. Choreographed alongside the talented, Peyton Winker, we explored the ideas of road tripping and traveling the world together but now being stuck in the confined space of our homes. I decided to challenge myself and make a dance film from start to finish in three hours. A spark of an idea. A discovery of space & self & dimension. This is the first of three films creating "Realms | A Saga", exploring the use of projections in film and dance. I DO NOT OWN THE MUSIC.
